Although I am not a fan of the banner and slogan they have used below, as its over the top and discredits the effort, but the mission is extremely important:

The most important task of our generation is to finally bring the United States into the status of a true democracy, with a government that represents the interests of the majority of Americans in the long term and not the special interests of a very few in the short term. By demanding publically funded elections paid for entirely by the government with no private contributions, politicians will finally represent the people they are elected to represent instead of the special interests that are giving them money.

It is obvious that our system of privately funding elections is broken and has caused a stalemate in our legislative process. Can greed and corruption be trusted to resolve our country's issues effectively? It has been proven that it cannot. I, and I am sure many more qualified individuals than I, would be willing to serve a position in Federal Government and donate all compensation to the effort of getting money out of our system until it is finally passed and made law. Lets not pass this abomination of our democracy and all the other issues we face to the next generation.

Let's do what we all know needs to be done, or the future of this country and the democracy we were taught to believe in may be lost forever to a dictatorship of oligarchs, gangsters, and an ultra-rich elite self proclaimed royalty. The truth is that we have already lost our power to these people, but the forever part is now only temporarily in question.
