The Liberal/Conservative, Republican vs. Democrat argument is a farse.
It's a political puppet show run by people like the Kochs and Soros to keep us distracted and divided. "The gays", "the guns", and other red herrings serve to stir our emotions and misdirect us from how truly desecrated our Constitution is under the last two administrations.
The people at the top don't care about gays, or guns, or any of the other hot button issues that keep us, "We the People", divided and at each others' throats.
As long as we are fighting amongst ourselves, we won't notice our democracy has been taken from us, our middle class has been crushed, and our society consists of the ruling class, and the ruled class.
How many people at the Democratic Convention last week in Anaheim were aware that our right to due process is actually gone? That we can be legally disappeared without representation, or a speedy trial, without evidence? How many Liberals realize that Obama signed off on that? Twice! Furthermore, that he added even more draconian enhancements to it? How many Conservatives are willing to admit that Bush started it? Bush suspended habeas corpus, the very foundation of our freedoms and lynch pin of the Constitution, and Conservatives chanted the mantra "If you haven't done anything wrong, you don't have anything to worry about." Obama promised to repeal the Patriot Act, and instead added to it, and Liberals inherited the same mantra. This. Is. Insane.
We live in an Oligarchy, and while everyone is bickering about gays and guns, the real threat to our freedom is quietly taking over.
